Outdoor space matters to Rachel Lloyd. In 2017, she set up her very first nursery with business partner and friend Kim Jones, and they knew exactly what their focus should be.
“We are Reggio-inspired,” Rachel says, “and we’re trying to create an environment to inspire our children to explore, investigate and be creative every day.”
What was going on?
Opening a new nursery is tricky at any time, and with such ambitious aims for their setting, Rachel understood they needed to get it right from the start.
“We want to give our children their best day…every day,” Rachel explains. For her and her staff, this meant making sure they could spend time with the children, and not at their computers.
