In a rush? Here’s the quick run-down:
Most of the time, evening dress and an award show aren’t the first things that spring to mind when you think about working in the Early Years sector. However, once a year, Early Years teams of educators, leaders, chefs, and apprentices get to swap glue sticks and glitter for glitz and glam and attend The National NMT Nursery Awards.
And we were there too. A team from Famly were lucky enough to not only attend the awards on the night, spending time with the best the Early Years sector has to offer, but we won an award too.
We’re delighted to receive the award for Technology Product of the Year and have the hard work of our teams recognised on a national level. But, while the trophy will take pride of place on the Famly mantle piece, the real joy comes from the difference we make for our customers every day.
This year, we made it easier for managers to schedule their teams, with new functions to drag, drop, build, and copy weekly schedules in seconds and track shifts being swapped back and forth. The same tool now handles everything from ratio management to attendance tracking, TOIL, overtime, staff work statuses, bulk edits, and more.
But that’s not all, our new AI-powered writing assistant Sidekick fixes grammar, spelling, and tone on observations, assessments, posts, and messages in Famly. Staff can focus on getting those magic moments recorded and forget the stress that comes with literacy challenges.
Of course, we’ve kept collaboration at the heart of everything we do. In 2024 we launched Village, an online Early Years community to connect educators across the entire UK. We want our amazing customers (who you can read more about below) to share their knowledge and expertise with one another, across settings, groups, and across the country.
Supporting the sector to collaborate better is so important to us, that all Famly customers have access to this resource for free, regardless of their package or role.
Of all the awards presented, over half of the winners are groups or settings we’re privileged to work with every day. And, while we’re delighted our hard work’s been recognised, we couldn't keep developing and improving our Early Childhood Platform without our incredible customers. With that in mind, it’s time to celebrate the dedication poured into the sector by the wider Famly family.
